End Grain Cutting Boards
End Grain Cutting Boards are the choice in kitchens around the world. With the wood grain standing on end, it allows the edge of the knife to slip between the grains preventing the knife from being dulled. A properly conditioned cutting board will allow the grains to pull back together when the knife is removed allowing the board to continue looking new.
Each board is sanded to 400 grit. Multiple applications of Howard Mineral oil is applied and the final coat with Howard Board Conditioner. A small bottle of Conditioner is provided with each purchase.
Options can include juice grooves, handles, silicon feet or epoxy inlay for personalization.
End Grain Inlay Cutting Boards
End Grain Inlay Cutting Boards have all the same benefits as an End Grain Cutting Board with an intricate design inlayed in the surface. The inlay is solid end grain wood installed with the same glue as an end grain board. Don't be afraid of damaging the inlay. It is almost 1/4" deep and fills the entire space of the groove. Use and care is the same as other end grain boards.

The pocket is grooved into the cutting board and the mirrored inlay is cut into a second board. The inlay is glued into the pocket and the waste is milled to the surface of the cutting board to reveal the finished design.
